On Saturday, 24 October, the Rocca will be open to the public with free admission as part of È cultura!, an initiative promoted by ABI – Italian Banking Association and ACRI – Association of Foundations and Savings Banks, which each year invites the public to discover and experience Italy’s cultural heritage.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to enter the Rocca free of charge and explore its historic interiors, from the frescoed rooms and the apartments on the main floor to the Contrari Chapel, home to a remarkable Late Gothic fresco cycle dating to around 1425.
The visit offers an opportunity to discover the history of the complex, from its medieval origins to its transformation into a noble residence in the 15th century under the Contrari family, while appreciating its rich architectural and artistic heritage.
This special opening reflects the spirit of È cultura!, an initiative that connects cultural heritage with local communities and encourages visitors to rediscover the places, stories and heritage that form part of the identity of each area.
The Rocca will be open from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Last admission is one hour before closing.
