On Saturday, May 16, the Rocca di Vignola will open to the public free of charge on the occasion of the National Castle Days, an initiative promoted by the Italian Castles Institute under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to explore the monumental complex freely during opening hours: from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Now in its 27th edition, the National Castle Days involve numerous historic and architectural sites throughout Italy, with the aim of promoting and showcasing the country’s castle heritage through special openings, guided visits, and initiatives dedicated to the public.
The Rocca’s free opening is also part of the calendar of free-admission days promoted by the Vignola Foundation, designed to offer residents and visitors the opportunity to discover one of the area’s landmark sites. The visitor route allows guests to explore the fortress’s interior rooms, walkways, and historic spaces, while gaining deeper insight into its history and its connection with the local community.
