At the end of the loggia corridor, on the right is the Pavilion Hall, also known as the Thalamus Room.
On the north-facing vaulted wall is depicted themain event, the marriage between Ambrogio Contrari and Battistina Campofregoso celebrated in 1461. Under a large fabric pavilion with raised flaps, the bride and groom can be glimpsed flanked by two pages of whom only evanescent profiles remain, transforming them into ghostly presences. The crenellated walls appear in the refined setting, defining the space of the play on the remaining walls as well, beyond which soar tall trees. In all likelihood this is a reproduction of the Fortress roof garden, connected to the Rocchetta by a double-arched covered bridge. The hortus conclusus contains a Renaissance temple (east wall) inside which is a coat of arms painted in the 17th century, belonging to Marcantonio Stradella, governor of Vignola and father of Alessandro, one of the leading musicians of the second half of the 17th century.
Supporting the depiction of the marriage of Uguccione Contrari’s second son is the presence in the ceiling sails of the Campofregoso family coat of arms and the depiction of the lion and leopard used by the Contrari in honor of their Este overlords.
