Covered walkway and studiolo of Uguccione

The walkway located to the east, initially uncovered and equipped with strong battlements that are still visible, was covered in the mid-sixteenth century, when all the patrol corridors were covered.

Uguccione Contrari’s studiolo, located inside the Nonantola Tower, represented the most private place in the entire palace, next to his bedroom and used for the preservation of the most important archival papers.
