On the occasion of the holiday season, the Vignola Fortress expands its opening calendar and offers numerous guided tours on weekends, along with two special openings dedicated to the ImmaculateConception andEpiphany holidays.

The longImmaculate Conception weekend ushers in this special period: from Friday, Dec. 5 to Monday, Dec. 8, the Fortress will be open, with guided tours scheduled at 3 and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday afternoons. On Monday, December 8, on the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, there will also be a special opening with the usual hours of 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 3-6:30 p.m.

The following weekend, Dec. 12 to 14, will also offer the opportunity to participate in guided tours on Fridays and Saturdays, also at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. From Dec. 19 to 21, guided tours will be held only on Friday, while on Saturday, Dec. 20, the Fortress will welcome the public free of charge for the entire day, maintaining normal opening hours.

After a break on Dec. 24 and 25, the monument will reopen Dec. 26-28 with the usual Friday and Saturday guided tours. Three closing days are scheduled at the end of the year – Dec. 30 and 31 and Jan. 1 – before reopening on Jan. 2, which will mark the resumption of the regular calendar with weekend guided tours.

Finally, the holiday season will end on Tuesday, January 6,Epiphany Day, when the Fortress will again be open for visits with a special opening from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 6:30 p.m.
